Summer 2010 Newsletter

Following a surprisingly strong winter season, we have been heartened to see a continued surge in activity this spring. Boats recently sold through our office include an Eastbay 38, Sabre 38 Express, Hinckley 44 Jet, Hylas 46, Hinckley 49, Little Harbors 46, 52, 53 and 54, Jeanneau 54, Discovery 55, Hood/Lyman-Morse 60, Van Dam Nordia 67 and a Hinckley 76. Our diversity is further underscored when noting other previous sales during the latter half of 2009, such as a Cape Horn 81’ Trawler, a Hood/NEB 55’ Express exploration vessel and a S&S (Camper & Nicholsons) 72’ ketch.
We had yachts on display at both the Miami and Palm Beach Boat Shows, where we witnessed more enthusiastic and optimistic prospects than we have seen in a while! Some of us in the office were lucky enough to feel the same sentiment while racing at this year’s St. Barth’s Bucket Regatta and in the Newport to Bermuda Race.
Needless to say, for most parts of the sail and power market, there remains a far greater collection of yachts than one typically finds. We highlight many of these compelling yachts in the attached Summer Newsletter 2010, and we encourage you to visit our Web Site for continual updates.
