Bruce joined Wellington Yacht Partners in 2008 with over 23 years experience as a successful yacht broker in Ft. Lauderdale. Originally from Connecticut, he grew up pursuing interests as diverse as skiing, hiking, spelunking and scuba diving. The last activity allowed him to capture and share his love of the ocean with his world-renowned underwater photography.

He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut and from there enjoyed a distinguished career in medical research at the University of Texas Medical School and then Harvard Medical School, as well as work as a research scientist at the Woods Hole Marine Biological Laboratory.

His family shares his love of the water, being sailors, surfers and scuba divers. His daughter Margot is Director of Litmus, NZ, and New Zealand-born son-in-law Mark is the NZ High Commissioner of the Solomon Islands. With their three children, Maia, Griffyn and Isla, they enjoy Pacific Island living in Wellington, NZ, and the Solomon Islands. His wife Ingrid, also a lifetime sailor, circumnavigated on her own sailboat and currently is a Yacht Administrator for some of the largest megayachts in the world.

Bruce has been boating all his life and has logged over 100,000 sea miles as owner and Captain on both powerboats and sailboats, with some time spent cruising in nearly every ocean of the world. He has developed extensive knowledge and experience in the marine industry, and his unwavering dedication to the needs of his clients has proven to be an invaluable asset to them in making their boating dreams become a reality.
