GODSPEED was designed and built to be one of the safest, most efficient and comfortable cruising yachts afloat. In GODSPEED this quest has reached its ultimate goal. The famous Dashew cruising concept has now been extended to 80 feet, the result of over 20 years of continuous design evolution for short-handed cruising, and can be sailed by a couple without the need for extra crew. She is a remarkably stiff, comfortable and fast passagemaker. In moderate trades, with the wind from a close to broad reach, she will easily and comfortably average 300 miles per day under sail.

This vessel is fully fitted out for extensive offshore work, has been shaken down and fine tuned and is ready to head around the world after topping off her tanks and visiting the local market. The systems are functional, easy to use and require minimal maintenance. The interior is exquisitely executed by one of the finest boat builders. worldwide for this size yacht, to the very highest of standards, and must be seen to be appreciated.

Commissioned in 1999, GODSPEED is arguably the better sistership to Steve Dashew's final sailing yacht, BEOWULF, that he built for himself. A few of the features that make GODSPEED a cruising couple's dream are: easily handled ketch rig, functional pilothouse, watertight bulkheads, an enormous walk-in aft engine room, sugar scoop stern and a functional, spacious interior.
