Bill grew up in Charleston, SC, in a family full of sailors on both sides. Throughout middle school and high school, he progressed from racing dinghies in the river to keelboats in the harbor. After a brief stint in business school, he decided to turn his passion into a career and spent the next decade working as a Captain/Manager for larger sailing yachts around the world.
He has sailed over 90,000 ocean miles - including three Atlantic crossings, coordinated a rescue at sea, and gained extensive knowledge of the waters of the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Bahamas, and the U.S. East Coast.
Bill has valuable experience in all aspects of yacht management of both monohulls and multihulls >110 ft., with programs ranging from top-level race campaigns, busy charter operations, and private owner cruising. He has now come shoreside and, using his many years of experience, is putting his skills and energy toward assisting clients in finding their perfect yacht.
When he is not racing or cruising his own boat (he has owned a Beneteau First 435 and an Irwin 30) or on someone else’s, you can find Bill paddling a surf ski, wake surfing, swimming laps, paddle boarding, or snowboarding.
