Chet Hartshorn

Chet comes to Wellington with an ocean of experience gained from his training at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and subsequent years traveling the world as a deck officer in the Merchant Marine. Early on he acquired a sense and appreciation for vessels and the sea unique to most of us in yachting. Chet has since worked for fifty years as a yacht broker, including stints at Luke Brown in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, during the “pioneer” days and thirty years at Little Harbor working with Ted Hood, Sr.

Joining the Wellington Yacht Partners’ team is a reunion of sorts, as five of the brokers have previously been colleagues. For Chet, the yachting business is an extension of his love for sailing, the sea and boats in general. This love affair and his unique “people” personality overcome his dislike for modern day distractions such as texts and voice mail. When not assisting clients with their yachting needs, Chet and his wife Linda spend their free time sailing.
