TIOGA (Name Reserved) is an excellent example of a well-equipped, updated, well-cared-for true bluewater boat. She has had only two owners since new, both of which were very knowledgeable yachtsmen. Her update list is impressive, and she shows very well. She is one of only two Sou’wester 51's on the market, as well as the only center cockpit model available. Recent work on the engine room area includes new fuel lines, rebuilt Aqua-Drive, new SoundDown insulation and total detailing of the area, all of which was done during her new engine (Yanmar, 110 hp) and generator (Northern Lights, 6kW) installation in 2019.
She has a custom carbon fiber Sto'way rig, designed to be able to handle all the bridges of the ICW on the east coast of the USA. TIOGA's draft measures 5'-10" with centerboard up, and 11'-1" with board down.
