Carolyn Garth

Growing up sailing on Buzzards Bay and racing at the New Bedford Yacht Club — where both my mother and I learned to sail — gave me a love of the water that has shaped everything since. As a kid, I was lucky enough to sail my grandfather’s Concordia Yawl, and as a young adult I cruised the eastern seaboard on my mother’s trawler. I went on to race at Tufts University, and I’m still finding my way to the starting line today.

The six summers I spent teaching sailing led to thirty years teaching elementary and middle school students, most recently in Providence, RI. Helping people discover what they’re capable of — whether on the water or in the classroom — has always been at the heart of what I do.

I raised my own children at New Bedford Yacht Club, the same docks where I grew up, and today I love nothing more than sailing and racing on Narragansett Bay. My appreciation for boats runs the full spectrum — wooden classics, modern race boats, trawlers, picnic boats, speedy day sailers, and more.

I’m thrilled to bring this lifetime on the water to Wellington Yacht Partners and look forward to helping clients find the boat that’s right for them.

When I’m not at Wellington, you’ll find me sailing the bay, walking the beach with my dog Georgia, or cooking with my two daughters.
