GIGI | True North 34 MKIII | 34ft

Dartmouth, MA, US

Hard-to-come-by and sensibly-customized, GIGI is offered for sale by only her second owner. The boat has seen light seasonal use, excellent maintenance and shows beautifully. Her custom “Smoke White” Gelcoat hull, grey non-skid, and white decks and house are complemented by a single red boot stripe and black bottom for a subtle, distinctive look.

She features a highly desirable fold-down and hide-away “tailgate” transom that opens up the entire bridge deck and cockpit to the transom and swim platform for true single-level living. The fold-away transom provides incredible access to and from the water for water sports and allows the back of the boat to be opened up to carry a sizable tender - sail or power - without the need for cumbersome davits and the like. It is really THE seminal feature of this design, which is packed with practical and innovative thinking throughout.

GIGI is the perfect boat for a family that is “race chasing” young dinghy sailors in an Optimist or C420 class -- complete with wind anemometer on the mast.

With galley up, GIGI has the feel of a much larger yacht. Thanks to owner feedback and constant investment/improvement over the years from Pearson, GIGI also boasts the most refined bridge deck layout amongst her sisterships, with a large and comfortable convertible L-settee to port and a sculpted galley to starboard - both with practical features.

A quieter running boat you will not find, with details in the listing. This True North 34, with upgraded Volvo fully-electronic common rail 435hp diesel engine, is powerful, economical and easily cruises all day long at 22 knots. A bow thruster, electric windlass with remote at helm, wide side decks, great visibility, brand new state-of-the-art Garmin touchscreen GPS plotter with digital radar and front-opening windshield all contribute to easy handling for one, with room for plenty.

GIGI is the nicest True North 34 we have seen in many years. A great value in today’s competitive market, we invite your inspection.
