Zephyr is an excellent example of the favored 34z by MJM Yachts. With this fresh, simple concept, paired with strong,
but lightweight construction, Bob Johnstone and Designer Doug Zurn recreated Downeast yachts in the modern
idiom.
This 34z offers many of the features normally associated with larger motor yachts: twin Stidd Seats, Generator, Air
Conditioning, Bow and Stern Thrusters, Transom Door. The single 440 HP Yanmar, working with an efficient planing
hull, minimizes fuel burn (2.5 NM/Gall at 25 kt cruise) and maintenance costs, without compromising exhilarating
performance (max. 31 kt ).
The 34z has earned the coveted CE Class B Safety Rating, for up to 10 persons, and operation up to 200 miles
offshore.
