BLUE HERON is an excellent example of the highly regarded Sabre 34 engineered and built in Maine to the highest level of quality. This handsome design is just the right size to excel as both a dayboat and pocket cruiser, thanks to multiple seating areas, a fully equipped galley up, a spacious couple’s suite, and a separate shower stall. She is also well equipped with upgraded direct drive twin Volvo D6 370hp diesels for 24 knot cruise and 30 knot max speed, plus bow thruster, generator, dual zone air conditioning and many desirable factory options noted herein.

The interior below is finished with all cherry satin finished joiner work including solid trim and hull ceilings, paneled cabin door, louvered cabinet doors and solid drawer fronts. Cabin soles are varnished teak and holly, and headliners are soft fabric panels. The layout is well thought out, featuring a large convertible L-settee to starboard with varnished cherry coffee table, Ultraleather upholstery and storage beneath. There are lockers and a shelf outboard, and on the aft bulkhead a double louvered cabinet door conceals the main switch panel and other controls. An opening port, deck hatch and the main companionway provide excellent light and ventilation.
Forward and separated by partial bulkheads and a curtain is the master stateroom with centerline queen berth designed relatively low for easy access with storage below including four drawers. Outboard each side are lockers and an open shelf with removable fiddle. Starboard aft is a large cedar lined hanging locker with outboard shelf, while port aft is a Samsung 23” LCD TV mounted on swivel bracket and concealed DVD player. Below is a Dometic AC/DC Refrigerator/Freezer to supplement the unit on helm deck. Two opening ports and an overhead hatch provide natural light and ventilation.

HELM DECK
A key design feature of the Sabre 34 is her elevated helm deck that offers clear sight lines from the Stidd helm chair and the elevated L-settee to port with great 360 deg views for guests. A convertible back rest at the forward end of the settee provides a comfortable forward-facing passenger seat with a chart table in front. There is a varnished cherry table with inlaid holly border and compass rose, and generous storage below the L-settee.
The thoughtfully designed helm station to starboard features an adjustable Stidd helm seat, teak rimmed stainless wheel w/ tilt and hinged helm instrument pod. Additional features include:

The entire helm deck is nicely finished with teak decking, varnished cherry trim, Ultrleather cushions with high backrests, fabric overhead panels, overhead grab rail, (3) stainless handrails at companionway, and stainless drink holders port and starboard. Great ventilation with sliding side windows, electric front-opening center windshield and two overhead sliding hatches with blinds and screens. The rear zip enclosures are new 9/23 and include roll-up entry door and large window, and there are privacy curtains to enclose the entire aft section of the helm deck.

The Sabre 34 features a modified "V" planing hull design with shallow prop pockets, 23 degree deadrise amidships and 16 degree aft. The molded composite hull is built utilizing knitted biaxial e-glass with vacuum bagged foam core in hull bottom and topsides. There is a foam/plywood cored fiberglass stringer system and PVC rub rails with stainless striker plates. Topsides are Awlgrip Flag Blue with gold cove, double white boot stripes, and red bottom.
The molded composite deck features knitted biaxial structural e-glass reinforcements with balsa coring and Nida-Core used in areas above engine room. Sabre white NPG gelcoat with beige contrasting non-skid.
