BROKERS COMMENTS

This is not Wellington’s first go-round with Dufour, and we are really impressed with their overall design and ‘look’; sailing characteristics*; build quality and innovative thinking. We have helped several of our clients purchase these boats - in one case in Grenada for extended Caribbean cruising with children aboard doing a gap year and in another for coastal New England use with children in the mix. Interestingly cruising with children has also been true for MADAME GENEVA, which was purchased new by her current owners in Maryland in 2015 and used in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. We believe Dufour is a cut above the rest and wish there were more of them available here in the States.

MADAME GENEVA is well loved and has been well cared for, including a recent haul out with annual maintenance at Safe Harbor New England Boatworks - August 2023. She is now back in the water in full commission, truly ‘ready to go’ AND priced to sell. The owners are on to other adventures and are done using the boat. SALON 

One of the centerpieces of what makes this design so special along with the cockpit. The salon is ginormous, inviting, spacious, comfy and eminently practical with two separate seating areas plus Nav station. The U-shaped settee with convertible table to port is very well executed with centerline double settee on a slider (with storage beneath) to accommodate a smaller table or with leaves folded out a table that doubles in size. The table also drops down so that this area can be converted into a lounge; perfect for watching a movie or snuggling. The starboard side of the salon features a settee with sliding Nav station for flexible seating/sleeping arrangements. Fixed deck house windows (with shades); overhead hatches with shades/screens; fixed hull ports (with blinds)and opening ports (with screens)all provide plenty of light and ventilation as desired.
