Founded in 1926, Concordia Company is a renowned full-service boatyard, offering all aspects of yacht care and project work with excellent customer service at an economical price. The yard is nestled steps away from Padanaram Harbor on Buzzard’s Bay in southeastern Massachusetts.
The company rose to fame with the creation of the Concordia Yawl, a classically elegant wooden sailboat designed in 1938 by C. Raymond Hunt. Between 1938 and 1966, 103 yawls were built—many of which are still actively sailed and celebrated today.
Privately owned and run by Stuart MacGregor and his right-hand man Steve Lima, it remains a gem of a full-service boatyard, quietly bucking the trend of private equity ownership. Concordia continues its legacy by offering expert yacht maintenance, restoration and storage. They cater to both traditional wooden boats and modern yachts, preserving craftsmanship while embracing innovation and remain a staple of New England’s maritime heritage.
Wellington Yacht Partners regularly relies on Concordia’s trusted team to support our clients’ refit and service needs, and we’re continually impressed by their consistency, quality, and level of care. We love them for their close personal attention to each owner and yacht as well as their deep institutional knowledge of Concordia Yawls and Ray Hunt Design(s) including Hunt Yachts – all dating back to the Sixties – and everything else in between. In any given year, Concordia services and stores upwards of 25-30 Hunt powerboats – trusted expertise!
